PA Faculty Advisor - Darin Ryujin
Darin Ryujin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah, Master of Science from Marshall University and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah. He has worked at the PA program since 2004 and is currently the Director of Inclusion and Diversity for the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program. Darin serves on many committees including the Admissions and Selection Committee. His passion and interests include educational equity, health disparities, working with students, inclusion, and diversity. He is a member of the University of Utah Health Science Center Office of Health Equity and Inclusion Core Group. Nationally, Darin is a member of the PAEA’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee’s subcommittee for Retention and Recruitment. Darin is a practicing PA at the University of Utah Sleep-Wake Center. Darin and his partner enjoy traveling and the outdoors with their twin daughters.

Co-Advisor - Mayumi Kasai
Mayumi is currently the academic advisor for Pre-Professional advising at the University of Utah. She is bilingual in both English and Japanese and received an MA in Comparative Literacy and Cultural Studies, a BA in International Studies, and an AS in General Studies.
